What a semester it has been... I have been incredibly challenged from start to finish.

I will start with the actual coursework. Not only was it more than I ever expected, but it was not easy. The assignments were lengthy, though-provoking, and just plain tough. HOWEVER, I enjoyed them. I have enjoyed getting back into the world of academia where I am the student. I think my favorite course for learning was Acting & Directing. I enjoyed the texts we studied immensely. I think for creativities sake, I enjoyed the projects for Design & Production. I have a lot of fun designing sets and costumes, and it was enjoyable to really be able to analyze and bring worlds "to life" as concepts for this course.

Unfortunately, toward the end, I kind of fell behind due to being a one-woman show for my theatre program and attempting to produce a musical. I have also been very sick physically and have been dealing with seasonal affective disorder (seasonal depression) on top of major depressive disorder. It's been a tough November, but we are pushing through.

Career-wise... I have not been happy. I have been extremely overwhelmed by curriculum changes. I have felt neglected. I have come home nightly feeling defeated by student behavior. I could go on and on, but I won't subject you to my griping. I will say that I am beyond thrilled that Christmas holidays are just over the horizon.

New Beginnings

I love the beginning of a new year. The feeling of endless possibilities fills me with a lot of hope. I go back to work after Christmas...
